On my way to this other cafe in Manhattan, I came across this quaint restaurant. It had so many people which obviously brought to my attention. Many people = Good food?! I swore to myself that this was on my next brunch ritual.
I didn’t eat dinner the night before to save my appetite for the morning’s breakfast. In all honesty, it wasn’t as special as I thought, like so many others (Taco Bell XXL Steak Nachos, being 18 years old, owning my first branded jacket and working at Forever 21) that had so much hype which leads me to disappointment.
Or maybe it’s just me.

Double Take
My sister and I were obsessed with the Olsen Twins circa 2000. I still am!! Maybe just not as committed and stalkery as to checking fan sites every day and buying every magazine they were in. My sister was Mary-Kate for the grungy, “I don’t care” look, while I was Ashley for the simple, ultra-girly style—the epitome of wannabes. We would have photo-shoots with our disposable camera (yes, it was that long ago) and we would try to emulate their style to their facial expression and their body language. Although, getting the photos developed was a big disappointment ha.
I really love MK&A’s hobo-chic street style but decided instead to focus on their formal “wear”. I love how they complement each other’s fashion.

It sounds like this: “luh paN koh-ti-dyaN” and it means the daily bread. Ha it took me some practice. I really loved this place. I had some hesitation of going here since everything I read about it was so organic.
By the way, a revelation today: I asked myself out loud while looking at a white chocolate that highlighted ORGANIC on it– “So if it’s organic, does the mean it’s not sweet?” The Trader Joe’s team member that was right beside me stocking up on chocolates, laughed and said “No, honey. That’s not what it means.” Um, talk about feeling dumb.
Back to my brunch today, the food was amazing. Enough said. I didn’t have time to even take pictures of myself with the food because I was so excited to eat. And that says so much.
